The Brief

With the 2016 Rio Olympics on the horizon, Nike, in collaboration with Track Mafia wanted to create a speed event like no other. The brief was to create an event that captured the essence of ‘fast’ but also ‘team work’ in a new format that would engage and excite runners at an unexpected location in East London.

The Solution

Our team were engaged to work closely with Track Mafia to create, shape and deliver the experience. In collaboration with Track Mafia the ‘Fall Out’ concept was born giving teams the chance to battle it out over 200m in an exciting new format. Two teams of 6 runners ran in opposite directions around the track with two runners per team peeling off after each lap, eventually leaving two runners from each team to sprint to beat the opposing team to the finish line. Our team transformed a carpark in East London with a purpose built electric blue 200m track to create the ultimate team running experience, enhanced by a special appearance from Team GB sprinter Perri Shakes-Drayton.

The Results

  • 200 runners took part in this exclusive and high-energy running experience – a pillar of the Nike Running campaign leading into the 2016 Rio Olympics.
