The Brief

To design and execute an elite football experience where players selected from a series of worldwide qualifying events undertake an intensive 3-day trial to showcase their skills in the global final and ultimately fight for the opportunity to join the Nike Academy. The Most Wanted Global Showcase is the only pathway into the Nike Academy. 

The Solution

Having delivered the Global Showcase since 2013 and managed the ongoing operations of the Nike Academy, our team have brought considerable creative execution & development to this pinnacle moment within Nike Football. We are responsible for managing and curating a premium experience for all participants, VIPs and worldwide media in line with Nike Football brand objectives at a global level. The intensive 3-day trial consists of medical examinations, coached assessments and 11v11 gameplay with players’ provided with Nike performance product and a unique brand experience off the field with special appearances and an exclusive player’s lounge.

The Results

  • 7 premium Global Showcase experiences delivered across St. George’s Park (English Football Association's national football centre, UK) and Clairefontaine (home of the French Football Federation, France),
  • 35% Nike Academy players (recruited via Global Showcase) secured pro-contracts,
  • Professional player/coach integrations including Eden Hazard & Didier Deschamps.
  • Qualifying ‘Most Wanted’ trial events delivered across Australia/New Zealand and the UK including roadshow trials and regional finals leading up to the Global Showcase.
