Client: Square Mile Sport

The Brief

Deliver the Australian leg of the Bloomberg Square Mile Relay global series (10 cities). With a strong emphasis on team building and one of a kind experience, Limelight Sports were tasked to create a memorable localised experience that was part running race, part after party, part corporate networking opportunity. Support major partner and client marketing efforts with local activity.

The Solution

Through our experience design thinking framework, we adapted the urban relay running race to meet local market needs and wants. This was no fun run. This was a corporate running race in the heart of bustling Sydney CBD, oozing with company rivalry and bragging rights up for grabs. Post race at the after party, teams were treated to world class hospitality, live DJ entertainment and the culinary treats of the famous Messina Ice Cream. Direct targeted outreach was conducted to companies and runners within the target market segment. 

The Results

  • 92% awareness rate of headline partner, Bloomberg
  • 96% of respondents said they would recommend the event to colleagues in international offices
  • On average, participants gave a score of 8.9 for event experience (out of a 1 – 10 scale)
